As you may have noticed on Monday's RAW, the finish to Elias vs. Ricochet had a very odd ending. While announcers Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Renee Young later pointed out that Elias' shoulders were up during the three count, it's now been revealed that that wasn't the planned finish to this bout.

According to Dave Meltzer, "They may do a rematch but I can tell you 100 percent that that was not supposed to happen and that was a Vince call. Vince is like that." He added that this was never supposed to be the start of an angle.

"The plan is not to do anything from it," he explained. "Vince may insist on it later. The ref botched it, Elias botched it. Elias was supposed to keep the shoulders down. He just didn’t, I don’t know why. The ref counted to three and he shouldn’t have and they called attention to it."

It will be interesting to see where things go from here, but it's hard to imagine any of the men involved with this match not having a hard time of it when they got backstage!
