For many fans this was a long time coming, but The Honky Tonk Man is finally taking his place in The WWE Hall of Fame.

Honky first arrived on the scene in the mid '80s and went on to become one of the company's most hated heels. After a solid mid-card run, he managed to defeat Ricky "The Dragon Steamboat" to become the new Intercontinental Champion - a title he would hold for over a year before being beaten by The Ultimate Warrior at SummerSlam 1988.

To date, The Tonk's run with the IC Title has yet to be surpassed, giving legitimacy to his claim of being "the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time."

The 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on Saturday, April 6, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., during WrestleMania 35 Week.
