Last night's episode of RAW kicked off with WWE Champion Big E putting his title on the line against Bobby Lashley. During the match, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin showed up wearing Hurt Business t-shirts, confirming that the popular stable is back together. A fight with The New Day broke out, and the championship match was called off.
However, Adam Pearce quickly announced that RAW would be main evented by Lashley and Big E battling it out inside a Steel Cage, and while The Hurt Business and The New Day did end up clashing at ringside, it was a fair match. In the end, Big E earned his legit win over Lashley by hitting the Big Ending off the second rope.
It seems WWE is taking his title reign seriously, and Big E's next opponent was seemingly confirmed in the closing moments of RAW when Drew McIntyre made his way out to the ring.
A staredown followed, and it appears these two will be feuding on RAW through the WWE Draft. It's possible McIntyre will be sent to SmackDown, but at least one match does now seem likely.
As for Lashley, it definitely feels like he's moving to the blue brand. Vince McMahon frequently has wrestlers do the job before they're sent elsewhere, and there's certainly a lot The Hurt Business could bring to Friday nights (especially with it being clear a rematch for Lashley with Goldberg is in the works).
The WWE Draft starts this Friday, so make sure you keep checking back here for the latest.
