We figured Jeff Hardy would wind up putting his Intercontinental Championship on the line against both Sami Zayn and AJ Styles at the upcoming Clash of Champions PPV event, and that was confirmed during last night's episode of SmackDown.
Zayn faced off against Styles in a singles match, but after The Phenomenal One defeated The Great Liberator, The Charismatic Enigma rushed the ring and took down both Superstars. Hardy then brought a ladder into the ring and said he was sick and tired of the whole IC title situation, and wanted to put and end to the debate once and for all at Clash of Champions in a triple-threat ladder match.
WWE hasn't made the match official yet, but we expect it to be added to the card any day now.
This should be a great match, provided the guys are given enough time to go out and really show what they're capable off in this kind of environment. We may even see Zayn emerge victorious, since he was IC Champion before being forced to relinquish the title when the pandemic worsened.
