The Main Event Of WRESTLEMANIA "Night 1" Has Been Revealed...And It's NOT The Match You're Probably Expecting

While Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship is expected to headline "Night 2" of WrestleMania, we don't know what WWE has planned for the "Night 1" main event.

WWE reportedly wants to kick the Show of Shows off with a bang, and an entrance that will get the fans in attendance out of their seats to deliver the sort of pop the company can play in recap videos from now until forever. That means WrestleMania will need to kick off with a big match, and it's been rumoured that it's going to be Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.

If that happens, however, then what will main event "Night 1"?

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's Championship is a strong possibility.

"The rest of the 4/10 show is Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for the SmackDown women’s title, which is being positioned in many card rundowns as the main event, on top of Lashley vs. McIntyre," he explains. "Under that is Bad Bunny (with Damien Priest) vs. The Miz (with John Morrison), New Day vs. Omos & A.J. Styles for the Raw tag titles, Strowman vs. Shane McMahon in a cage match and Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins."

Sasha Banks has talked openly about wanting to headline WrestleMania, and after Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey did that a few years ago, it feels right for Banks to earn that accolade next (it would also be hugely beneficial to Belair, especially if she wins the title).
