The Miz and John Morrison are the new SmackDown Tag-Team Champions after defeating The New Day at Super ShowDown.

There wasn't a lot of hype surrounding this match and the crowd didn't seem to be particularly into it at first, but that changed after some stellar work from all four Superstars. The New Day seemed to have things in hand on several occasions, but when Kofi missed his Trust Fall Dive and landed hard on his back, Miz and Morrison took advantage of the 2-on-1 situation.

Big E persevered, however, and the heels were forced to cheat by laying out their opponent with a steel chair and stealing the victory when the ref was distracted.

We weren't sure how long this alliance would last, but it looks like we'll be seeing M and M as a tandem for at least a while longer now that they're holding the gold.
