The New Day's Big-E Returns To SMACKDOWN LIVE, But He's Still Not Cleared To Compete

Big-E is back, babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

The New Day kicked off SmackDown LIVE tonight, and after initially teasing the crowd with an impostor, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston introduced the real E to a raucous reaction.

The trio indulged in some shenanigans in the ring before being interrupted by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who is on the blue brand thanks to the Wild Card Rule for his match with Kofi.

Big-E was not medically cleared to wrestle, and this may have been a one-off appearance because just before Kingston's match, he was discovered backstage clutching his knee and claiming that KO attacked him. That was far from the the last of The New Day's troubles tonight, but more on that later.
