Earlier this week, WWE randomly announced plans for The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) to face The Viking Raiders during Super ShowDown. There's no real storyline reason for the match to take place, but it proved to be a hard-hitting affair, and a great way to kick off this PPV.
There was a botch near the end of the match when Ivar attempted to hit a spingboard back double elbow on Gallows and Anderson, and when he went to hit a moonsault from the top rope, he took too long and ended up missing Anderson.
As a result, Gallows was able to come in and hit the Magic Killer with Anderson for The O.C. to pick up the 1-2-3.
The two men celebrated and hit the "too sweet" as they walked up the ramp following their win. Whether this is leading to anything is hard to say, but it was a good start to the night for the faction and AJ Styles is now no doubt hoping to pick up a big win in the main show's Gauntlet match.
