It's been revealed that WWE has now officially granted SmackDown Live Superstar Tye Dillinger his release. He requested that on Tuesday night shortly after the show went off the air and in a brief statement, the company has said: "WWE has come to terms on the release of Ron Arneill (Tye Dillinger)."
Dillinger has been off television since injuring his hand at a WWE Live event last Fall. Despite recently being cleared, he has not been featured on TV and there were clearly no plans for him moving into WrestleMania.
There have been signs of Dillinger's unhappiness for a while now as he's mentioned online that he's asked to return to NXT and made a number of other pointed remarks on social media. Speculation is already running rampant that he could make the leap to All Elite Wrestling but his future plans aren't clear at this stage.
It's possible that he may not want to wrestle or has other plans. We'll have to wait and see but, as always, be sure to stay tuned for more details as we have them.
