The final viewership numbers are in for SmackDown's debut on FOX and WWE's new flagship show received a total of 3,888,000 viewers. That's a strong number for the network and not a great surprise given what a big show it was and the fact FOX gave it a huge push on NFL broadcasts.

It wasn't without its fair share of controversy, though. Many fans were angry with how Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship reign ended, while fans in the building booed and chanted for "AEW" as the show ended due to the fact 205 Live didn't take place as promises and neither did advertised appearances from Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and Sting.

What's really going to be interesting is seeing how SmackDown does during its second week on FOX, especially now The Rock won't be there to open the show (that segment did over 4 million viewers).

As always, we'll keep you guys updated with the latest numbers!
