According to a number of online reports, the XFL has decided to suspend play for the remainder of the season. Players have already been informed of this decision, and this couldn't come at a worse time for Vince McMahon's newly launched football league.

After all, the XFL is only halfway through its first season, and only five games have been played.

It's said that the league will attempt to play at least one championship game in a few weeks, but nothing is guaranteed, and this is bound to hurt the XFL moving forward, especially as it's only just begun finding an audience.

Depending on what happens with the Coronavirus, the XFL would presumably return in 2021.
