Last week, it was revealed that The Revival had again asked WWE to release them from their current contracts. The company refused and now Dave Meltzer has noted in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that shortly after they asked to be freed, WWE countered with a greatly increased offer in a bid to finally get them to stay.
That included a five-year contract but it sounds like they refused and are intent on leaving.
WrestlingNews.co adds to this by claiming that an inside source in the company believes they'll head straight to All Elite Wrestling once their contracts expire after
WrestleMania.
"If Vince had kept his promise to put more time and effort into tag teams then maybe they would have stayed but look at what they’re doing with Gallows and Anderson," the source notes.
That same source went on to add that, "they aren’t looking for leverage. They are not happy here."
It's no secret that The Revival has trademarked various names relating to them (including "#FTR" and "Shatter Machine") so them walking out of WWE is an inevitability and it seems like there's nothing WWE can do now. Needless to say, we'll keep you guys updated when we learn more.
