The Rivalry Between Samoa Joe And Jeff Hardy Continued Heating Up On SMACKDOWN LIVE Last Night

For weeks now, Samoa Joe has been taunting Jeff Hardy about his past substance abuse problems but during what was supposed to be an apology on last night's SmackDown Live, things between the two heated up.

Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy were in TNA together and it was during that time the latter really struggled with drink and drug issues. Now, WWE has decided to incorporate that into a storyline and while Joe was supposed to apologise to Hardy last night, he quickly revealed that it was actually an "intervention." Needless to say, that didn't go down particularly well with the Charismatic Enigma.

He was quick to point out that Joe hasn't won a single title in WWE over the past two years and it's clear now that things between these two are only going to get more personal from this point on.

It was Jeff who was left standing last night, though, as he hit a Twist of Fate on Joe before leaving the ring. Where could this be heading? Well, a Royal Rumble match seems likely but it would be awesome if Joe somehow breaks Jeff and that leads to the emergence of Brother Nero, right?
