Last night's episode of SmackDown kicked off with Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman hitting the ring to bring out Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The Brahma Bull wasted no time in tearing into fans, calling the crowd a bunch of "cactus-loving crack-heads." After taking credit for WWE's recent successes, it was hard not to notice the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion looking a little annoyed in the background.
Turning his attention to Cody Rhodes, The Rock declined his challenge to a 1-on-1 match between now and WrestleMania. Instead, he came up with a counter-offer: The Rock and Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins during WrestleMania Night 1.
If The Rock and Reigns win, Cody's title match will be Bloodline rules, meaning anything goes (and freeing up Roman's family to help him retain the belt). However, if the babyfaces emerge triumphant, then The Bloodline will be barred from ringside.
There was a tease of tension between The Rock and Solo when the former poked fun at him and, after the Great One pointed out "I'm on the board and I'm the boss," his patented "If you smell..." line was interrupted by Reigns!
He demanded that his cousin acknowledge him and, believe it or not, he did! He then performed that line but, before he could say "...what The Rock is cookin'," Johnson handed the mic to Reigns who finished with "...what The Bloodline is cooking!"
The stage has now been set for a huge WrestleMania main event and we can't help but wonder how many other twists and turns are heading our way between now and April. With CM Punk advertised for the RAW before WrestleMania, could he end up being a special guest referee, perhaps?
