The Rock Brings Back "Hollywood Rock" Theme On SMACKDOWN And Delivers A BRUTAL Rock Concert

During last night's episode of SmackDown, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson finally brought back his "Hollywood Rock" theme before delivering a brutal Rock Concert aimed squarely at Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins...

SmackDown didn't feature appearances from Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns last night, but it did kick off with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

After weeks of fans on social media sharing their hope that his entrance theme from the time he spent as the heel "Hollywood Rock" might return, it did indeed make a comeback! That delighted the Memphis crowd who, given The Rock's history there, was very much behind the Brahma Bull.

The Rock Concert followed and, while it hit a few familiar beats from his recent social media promos, there's no denying it made for fun viewing. He took aim at Becky Lynch being more popular than her husband, Seth Rollins, and even brought up Rhodes' time as Stardust.

The Rock also mocked Cody crying on Monday's RAW and proceeded to get serious when he took aim at the American Nightmare's mother.

The People's Champion vowed to preset his belt to her at WrestleMania and promised that when he hands it over covered in her son's blood, he'll sing into her ear, "What can I say expect 'You're Welcome?'" (a nod to his role as Maui in Disney's Moana franchise).

The Rock has dubbed himself "The Final Boss" and it's clear Cody needs to come back at this with a strong response next week. The People's Champion may be playing a heel, but many fans like him, and there's a risk they'll start rooting for the cool bad guy over the do-gooder babyface.

The Rock won't be at next week's SmackDown, but a facedown between Rhodes and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been promised.

Check out some highlights from the Rock Concert below.
