The Rumored SUMMERSLAM Main Event Probably Won't Be What Any Of Us Are Hoping For

With RAW's commentators still talking about how Roman Reigns was "screwed" out of the WWE Universal Championship during that Cage Match with Brock Lesnar at the Greatest Royal Rumble, it appears as if things between The Beast and Big Dog are far from over. Now, Dave Meltzer has shed some light on plans for SummerSlam's main event, and, well, it's rather depressing!

Apparently, the current plan is for Lesnar to defend the title against Reigns at the biggest party of the summer, a match which does make sense but obviously isn't one most
fans actually want to see.

The match isn't 100% confirmed at this stage but if Lesnar really is heading back to UFC, then we'll know by the end of the month as he'll have to get back in the USADA testing pool by June 30th.

Whatever happens, it's widely believed he'll drop the Universal Championship at SummerSlam and it makes sense that Vince McMahon sees that as the perfect opportunity to crown Reigns despite fans clearly not getting behind him following his last two title matches. Who knows, perhaps someone will immediately cash in on the divisive Superstar because that would definitely make viewers happy!
