Two days ago, we reported that former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard had gone missing after being caught in a riptide while swimming with his son at Venice Beach, and we now have the update we've all been dreading.

According to ABC7, a body matching Gaspard's description has been recovered near the area where the former Cryme Tyme was last seen, but they have not confirmed the identity of the deceased. There's a chance it's not Shad, but this obviously doesn't look good.

Shad's wife, fitness trainer and nutritionist Siliana Gaspard, friends, and former WWE colleagues have been sharing thoughts and prayers on social media and asking for anyone with information to get in touch since the news of his disappearance broke on Sunday.

We'll just have to hope beyond hope that Gaspard survived and will return safe and sound to his family. If it's a more tragic outcome, we will never forget that Shad's last act on this Earth was to save his son's life. Keep an eye on The Ring Report for updates.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the body has been identified as Shad's All our thoughts are with his family and friends.
