Fans have spent years hoping that WWE legend The Undertaker might clash with WCW legend Sting in the squared circle, but various circumstances have led to it simply never happening. Now, given Sting's health and the Deadman's apparent retirement, chances are it won't ever actually become a reality.
During a recent interview with Barstool Sports, The Undertaker was asked if the match ever came close to happening, but it seems despite Sting being vocal about it, they've never discussed the idea!
"Yeah, there were never...we never called each other, 'Hey, would you like to do this super match, mega match’ or whatever," he explains. "My schedule was always full...there were always guys waiting. To be completely honest at this point, it would have been cool in the 90s or early 2000s. There’s a reason the Last Ride came about and I called it a day."
The Undertaker explained that he wouldn't want a match like this to be watered down, and you have to believe that has something to do with the disastrous bout he had with Bill Goldberg in Saudi Arabia (where the WCW star concussed himself with a visibly annoyed Undertaker clearly not happy with how things went down).
