We were promised an appearance from The Undertaker on SmackDown LIVE from Madison Square Garden tonight, and The Phenom opened the show.

'Taker spoke about the hallowed ground of MSG, and the Superstars that would carry the torch once the legends had passed on. It sounded like he might have been teasing his retirement (again), but Sami Zayn interrupted before he could finish his thought.

After clarifying that he had nothing but respect for The Deadman, Sami proceeded to ask him to leave he ring and allow the future of the business (him) to shine. 'Taker pretended to leave, then returned and delivered a massive Chokeslam to Zayn.

It remains to be seen if there's any fallout or follow-up to this, but it seems highly unlikely. Still, great to see The Undertaker in MSG again.
