Now that The Undertaker is taking part in interviews which see him talk openly about his career out of character, it seems he simply cannot escape being questioned about a possible match with WWE Hall of Famer Sting. They've never crossed paths in the squared circle, and for many fans, them facing off is a dream match.
During a recent IGN interview to promote the WWE 2K Battlegrounds video game, the Deadman was asked about the possibility of stepping back into the squared circle for a one-on-one match with Sting.
"I get that a lot," he acknowledged. "Sting stayed down in WCW for so long and then you know, he went somewhere else and that window kind of closed. I know he kind of showed up at the end. The way people see that, it looks much better on paper than it actually would’ve been. It’s one of those matches that people will talk about forever."
Clearly, The Undertaker doesn't believe that this match would have been good even when both men were in their prime, and it certainly wouldn't work now, something the icon's match with Goldberg proved not too long ago (Sting also has a series of neck issues now).
Are you disappointed we never saw this become a reality?
