As we've already reported, WWE last night released 39 employees in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Superstars like Rusev, Sarah Logan, and Erick Rowan were among those to be released, as were producers like Lance Storm and Kurt Angle. Even referee Mike Chioda - who has been an employee for 31 years - was among those fired.
Now, it's been revealed that a member of WWE's creative team has also been future endeavoured (despite being responsible for one of the best storylines we've seen on SmackDown for quite some time).
As you can see below, Andrea Listenberger, the writer who worked on the Otis/Mandy Rose arc, was released by WWE after being hired by the company in December. Chances are this was a case of "last one in, first one out," but it definitely feels like a blunder on WWE's part given how compelling that all was on the Road to WrestleMania (and at the Show of Shows itself).
