With COVID-19 forcing WWE to take drastic measures to keep their shows on the air, we're seeing a lot of undercard wrestlers receive the spotlight both on RAW and SmackDown. Now, it's being reported by WrestlingNews.co that people backstage have been pushing Vince McMahon to do more with Apollo Crews, hence why we've been seeing more of him on TV in recent weeks.
Apparently, the plan is to turn him heel, as revealed by the site's sources. "They are turning him. He was going to turn on [Chad] Gable before Vince decided to move him back to Raw."
The site also reveals that there's talk backstage in WWE of making MVP the manager of a new stable. There's no word on whether Crews will be included in that, but it does make sense if the idea is for MVP to show off the talents of some of WWE's underutilised wrestlers (claiming they can be top stars by following his guidance).
The likes of Crews, Cedric Alexander, and Ricochet have all fallen down the card in recent months, and that's a group with a lot of potential. We'll have to wait and see what happens, but we'll keep you guys updated.
