Last night's episode of RAW featured the final teases for this weekend's WrestleMania, including a surprise heel turn. It all started when RAW Women's Champion Asuka teamed with her opponent at the Show of Shows, Rhea Ripley, to face Women's Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
There were visible signs of tension throughout the match, including when Ripley refused to tag in.
Ultimately, Ripley tagged herself in, but when the Empress of Tomorrow later got the hot tag and headed to the top rope, she was pushed off by her WrestleMania opponent. After beating her tag team partner down, Ripley threw Asuka into the ring where Baszler hit her with a running knee for the 1-2-3.
A babyface/heel dynamic will certainly help add a little more excitement to this match, especially now we know that there are no plans for Charlotte Flair to be added to it.
That was the rumour for a while (The Queen has a history with both Asuka and Ripley at WrestleMania), but Flair is now missing the Showcase of the Immortals for reasons which aren't entirely clear.
