Alexa Bliss was named the captain of RAW's women's Survivor Series team but didn't get involved with the brawl that closed out the show on Monday because she's still not cleared to compete. After suffering a number of concussions within a small period of time, there's now a great deal of concern that she may be suffering from similar issues to Daniel Bryan and could be away for some time.
"They feel that there’s been too many [concussions] in too short a time so she’s not gonna be back in the ring anytime soon," PW Insider's Mike Johnson revealed during a recent podcast.
"They’re not gonna put her back in the ring until they feel she should be medically cleared. If that means 2 weeks, 2 years, 6 months, I don’t know but I am told that pretty much they are going to find things for her to do to include her in the mix without having to take any physical punishment because they want her to be careful and they want to be cautious with her."
This lines up with what we've heard about her taking on an authority figure role on RAW for the time being and while Johnson said he's been unable to confirm those retirement rumours, it definitely doesn't sound like WWE is planning on having Bliss step back inside the ring in the near future. That's a shame and we'll just have to hope that she's able to recover quickly and get back to in-ring competition.
