A few months ago, WWE released a long list of Superstars in a bid to save money during COVID-19 (despite this being their most profitable year for quite some time). In fact, the company is expected to hit their all-time record for revenue, leaving many fans to wonder why the company would choose to release so many wrestlers in the midst of a global pandemic.
As of tomorrow, those former WWE Superstars will be free agents, and there's a lot of speculation surrounding many of them making an appearance as soon as this coming Saturday's Slammiversary.
Time will tell on that front, but it's already been reported that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have signed a deal with IMPACT Wrestling. As for the rest of these Superstars, they're bound to start popping up in big promotions, whether it's All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling (unfortunately, many Indie promotions remain on hiatus thanks to COVID-19).
Rusev recent revealed that he's been diagnosed with the virus, while Sarah Logan has stepped away from the wrestling business. Here are the confirmed Superstars soon to be free agents:
