Following Kevin Owens firing last week, he returned to SmackDown Live yesterday to reveal that he's suing Shane McMahon for $25 million. For the time being, of course, he's unemployed and now a new report claims that he could show up on tonight's premiere episode of NXT on the USA Network.

Owens sent out a Tweet last week which pointed to him returning to NXT and PW Insider says that there's an expectation among those in WWE that the former Universal Champion will be there tonight.

This would obviously be a one-off and something meant to get fans talking and NXT will do all it can to make an impact because the second hour will air on the WWE Network because of Suits for the next two weeks! That means newcomers to the brand will be getting just half a show.

We'll be sure to let you know if Owens does appear!
