Despite reports last week claiming that ticket sales for Evolution have been moving relatively slowly, things have actually been going pretty well! According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, over 7000 tickets have been sold for the show and it currently appears as if it will come extremely close to selling out the 10,900 seats which will end up filling the Nassau Coliseum.
The show doesn't take place until the end of next month so there's plenty of time for WWE to boost ticket sales and it's said that the reason the company announced Alexa Bliss vs. Trish Stratus and Lita vs. Mickie James so early on was because they wanted to get the event off to a strong start. That's worked and with the card filling out nicely, there's no doubt more than enough here to interest fans.
Should Evolution succeed, the female Superstars will be one step closer to headlining a WrestleMania and another Evolution PPV somewhere down the line is all but guaranteed. Time will tell...
