Toni Storm was knocked out of last year's Mae Young Classic during the semifinals so you'd best believe she was motivated heading into last night's finals at Evolution against NXT signee Io Shirai. It was an impressive match featuring a lot of grappling and strong style strikes and fans were convinced it was over when Storm hit her Storm Zero finisher only to have her opponent kick out at two.

Shirai hit a 619 and looked to follow that up with her patented
moonsault but Storm got her knees up and once again hit the Storm Zero for the 1-2-3 and biggest win of her wrestling career to date.

As she celebrated her victory, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and NXT trainer Sara Amato greeted the tearful Superstar in the ring to bring another successful Mae Young Classic to a close. Common sense says that we'll be seeing a lot more of Storm in WWE moving forward and that can't come soon enough. What did you guys think of this match? As always, share your thoughts below.
