Half of WWE's roster is currently in the UK for a brief tour, and that's why tonight's episode of RAW will feature Universal Champion Roman Reigns and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos.
However, while it may appear the company is looking to make up for the absence of Drew McIntyre, it sounds like there could be even greater ramifications for WWE as a whole depending on how things play out. As you can see below, even with the WWE Draft on the horizon, should tonight's show draw a big enough number, we could start seeing the same Superstars on both shows.
This may seem like a good idea on the surface, but it's also another example of hotshot booking as WWE looks to counter the rise of AEW (Dynamite has beaten RAW in the key 18-49 demographic for three weeks in a row). While having Reigns, for example, on both shows would be a ratings draw for a short time, fans would soon get used to it, and ratings would inevitably drop again.
Needless to say, tonight's RAW promises to be extremely interesting for the future of WWE. How the USA Network and FOX feel about these crossovers is hard to say, but both would likely just be pleased to see a ratings increase. That's particularly the case with the return of Monday Night Football.
