Sami Zayn was noticeably absent on Raw this week, and according to PWInsider.com, that’s due to the former NXT champion currently dealing with an injury.

The PWInsider report states that Zayn’s injury is the reason why his match with Bobby Lashley at the PPV was so short and one-sided.

WWE Money in the Bank was reportedly Sami Zayn’s final date with the company prior to having his injury addressed, and he will be heading to Birmingham, Alabama this week in order to be examined. There’s no report on how severe the injury is at the moment.
