Trinity/Naomi Expected To Make WWE Return As Rumors Swirl About A WWE/TNA Team-Up Of Some Sort

It sounds like Trinity/Naomi is gearing up to make a WWE return after previously leaving the company, but does it have anything to do with rumours of a WWE and TNA potentially joining forces? Check it out!

Naomi walked out of WWE alongside Sasha Banks in 2022 and debuted for IMPACT Wrestling/TNA earlier this year. Now going by Trinity, she's found success in that company and is entering her sixth month as Knockouts Champion.

However, with Vince McMahon gone and Triple H now calling the shots in WWE, it sounds like Trinity will be returning to the company imminently.

According to Fightful Select, Trinity's contract expires soon and the expectation is her final appearance will be at the upcoming Hard to Kill PPV (during that event, IMPACT Wrestling will officially return to being known as TNA). It seems her WWE return is all but guaranteed at this stage and there had been talks of bringing her back into the fold last year.

Things are less certain with Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone and after recent chatter that she might re-sign with WWE, talks are thought to have fallen apart over money. Some have even claimed she'll appear on AEW Dynamite tonight and, if that does indeed happen, then any hopes of The Boss returning to WWE will be over.

Even more intriguing than these possible returns is the fact rumours are swirling that WWE and TNA may be going into business together. Triple H will be making an announcement during Thursday's WWE preview special, with the expectation being that some sort of collaboration is in the works.

It's possible WWE owner Endeavor has purchased TNA or, failing that, its catalogue of matches which include bouts with WWE icons like Kurt Angle and AJ Styles.

The speculation stems from the fact TNA is referring to its future PPVs as "Premium Live Events," a piece of WWE verbiage which suggests they might have some sort of connection (TNA's programming streams on an Endeavor-owned platform). Then again, IMPACT has teased working with WWE on multiple occasions to build hype, so it may be best not to get too excited!

IMPACT attempted working with AEW but it never really went anywhere. However, a business relationship with WWE would be largely beneficial to a company that has managed to survive its run-in with WWE but is very much running on fumes these days.

As always, we'll keep you updated as this situation continues to develop.
