During last Monday's RAW, The Wyatt Sick6 made their debut and attacked several WWE Superstars backstage. It was a bloody scene, with Chad Gable among the faction's many victims.
Everyone was in agreement that, as debuts go, it was an awesome effort on WWE's part. However, the placement of blood on Gable's head led to fans joking on social media that it looked like he'd been shot!
Talking about that during an interview with Pat McAfee (which took place before this week's RAW), Triple H said, "It escalated quickly from, 'There’s Chad Gable laying down, he’s obviously unconscious, has a little bit of blood on him,' to, 'Oh my God, he got shot in the head and he’s dead.' And there’s obituaries being put up on him, people wishing him well."
"Look, it’s one of the wonderful things about our fans, they just love to be engaged in the product and to, in their minds, fantasize where it can go and what it’s gonna be. It’s an awesome part of what we do," The Game continued.
"Every now and then, we’ve gotta pull back into reality a little bit, like, no, Chad Gable is still alive. Let me just clarify that for the record. Still alive, and if you come here tonight, you will probably see him actually competing. That’s the kind of stud he is."
Gable did indeed compete during the show and earned himself a spot in this year's Money in the Bank ladder match. He was, however, scared off by The Wyatt Sick6's Nikki Cross shortly after the bell rang to signal his victory
In the same interview, Triple H shared a brief update on Becky Lynch's WWE status. Much was said about her contract status before her recent departure, but it sounds like the WWE CCO is confident we'll see her in the ring again.
"When you look at where we’re at right now, and how much excitement there is, and you still start thinking about - we don’t have Roman, we don’t have Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch is out on a hiatus right now," he said.
"The amount of people that you have still to come, the amount of storyline that you still have to roll out..."
