Triple H Will Appear During Tonight's WWE BACKSTAGE...But CM Punk Won't Be Part Of The Show

FOX has announced that Triple H will appear during tonight's episode of WWE Backstage but those of you hoping to see him verbally spar with CM Punk will be disappointed as he's not set to be on the show.

Last night, FOX announced that Triple H will be on tonight's episode of WWE Backstage to discuss NXT's big win at the Survivor Series PPV this weekend. Alas, those of you hoping that we'd get to see CM Punk take his old foe to task or even address a possible WWE return are likely to be disappointed because FOX later confirmed that he won't be on the show.

This isn't a huge surprise given Punk's part-time status on WWE Backstage and it's easy to see why FOX might try to avoid an awkward situation by not having him on at the same time as Triple H.

Over the weekend, Triple H confirmed that he's not spoken to Punk about his WWE status and that the one-time Best in the World is under contract with FOX and not WWE. Whether things will change moving forward obviously remains to be seen.
