The company is still building to their biggest party of the summer; however, the Golden 1 arena in Sacramento, California has seemingly revealed the direction post-Summerslam with two announced matches at the annual event.
It should be stated that the card is indeed subject to change; however, Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton are currently advertised for the yearly pay-per-view. Interestingly enough, Randy Orton is rumored to challenge for the WWE Championship at Summerslam.
Neither match has the championship moniker attached to it, so it’s possible that these are non-title bouts where neither of the four men will hold either the WWE Universal or WWE Championship. It’s also possible that Kingston or Orton do hold the WWE Championship, and Seth Rollins regains the WWE Universal title from Brock Lesnar. Either way, this does give you a glimpse at the possible direction the company will be going in this fall.
