Compared to AEW, it's become relatively rare for WWE Superstars to suffer injuries. It can and does happen, however, and at least two SmackDown mainstays have seemingly been put on the shelf since Friday.
During the FOX show, one half of Pretty Deadly, Elton Prince is said to have separated his shoulder. He was shown wearing a sling while appearing on SmackDown LowDown, and the injury happened during his and Kit Wilson's match with The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus and Ridge Holland).
As we're sure you're aware, Holland was part of what proved to be a potentially career-ending neck injury for Big E when he performed a Belly to Belly Suplex on The New Day member.
As a result, he was quick to take to Twitter to defend himself.
"So to set people straight before they get all pi**y! It wasn't the belly to belly," Holland says, "it was a wonky landing from the pounce. Out of my control. Wishing @EltonPrince_PD a speedy recovery." His account has since been deleted.
In other injury news, it's also being reported that Damage CTRL's Bayley suffered a knee injury during a non-televised WWE Live event on Saturday night. She was facing Women's Champion Asuka and Charlotte Flair, and it's said her knee gave out when she went for a clothesline.
The match was reportedly halted, and Bayley was taken backstage. She previously suffered a torn ACL in 2021 and didn't return until over a year later. Thankfully, it doesn't sound like quite so serious a situation this time:
Needless to say, we wish both Prince and Bayley a speedy recovery (it's unclear how long, if at all, the latter will be on the shelf) and hope they're still able to appear on television in the weeks ahead.
Keep checking back here for updates as we have them.
