Tye Dillinger Has Reportedly Asked To Be Moved Back To NXT But It Sounds Like WWE Refused

It took Tye Dillinger a long time to get moved to the main roster but since that happened...well, he's been mostly wasted. Now, he's revealed that he tried and failed to return to developmental brand, NXT.

Rumour has it that Tye Dillinger has asked to be released from his WWE contract and will head to All Elite Wrestling the second he's able. For now, though, he's on his way back to the main roster after recovering from an injury (he actually made his return on Saturday night at a live event where he lost to Shelton Benjamin and if that's not proof WWE has no faith in him, it's hard to say what is).

Now, Dillinger (who has started using his real name on social media) has revealed that he actually asked to return to NXT but it sounds like his request was turned down despite Triple H claiming that was a possibility for main roster talent. The Perfect 10 was massively over in the developmental brand and while WWE fans responded well to him, a lack of any sort of push quickly saw them lose interest.

What the future holds in store for Dillinger is hard to say but things aren't looking too bright for him in WWE right now. What do you guys think? As always, share your thoughts in the usual place.
