UFC Star CM Punk Makes It Clear He's "Done With Professional Wrestling"

Despite reports earlier this week that CM Punk is seemingly open to making an in-ring return when his UFC stint is up, the Best in the World has now revealed that he has zero interest in pro wrestling.

CM Punk's legal battles are now behind him and he's currently focused on his next UFC fight and no doubt hoping that it goes better than the last one. Once the trial ended, Punk made a lot of comments which seemed to point to him returning to wrestling somewhere down the line after rumours in that respect started doing the rounds once his name was linked to Cody Rhodes' upcoming All In event.

Now, he's dropping the mic and making it clear he's done with the business of sports entertainment. "Yesterday I said a bunch of stuff about wrestling about how I had never gotten a true offer this does not mean I want to wrestle. I’m done, I’m done, I’m done with professional wrestling."

"A lot of people like to be mad at me about that and make fun of me because I lost my first fight and I’m like, ‘that’s fine you’re entitled to your opinion," Punk continued. "But you do not own me so I’m entitled to do what I want to do.’ And that’s what I’m doing." That's a pretty definitive answer and Punk went on to make it clear that fans need to stop hoping he'll return to wrestling.

"Wrestling is in the rearview mirror," he quickly confirmed. "I’ve been trying for five years to put wrestling in the rearview mirror and some people just like won’t let it go. They like wanna live my life for me and I kinda don’t understand that. But it doesn’t matter what I say. I’ve said: ‘no, no, no’ so many time and people have always been like, ‘oh so there’s a chance?'”

So, it appears as if we can forget about seeing Punk in WWE or any wrestling ring for that matter because his sights are firmly set on the octagon and making a go of his mixed martial arts career.
