Brock Lesnar and Daniel Cormier both seem open to the idea of clashing in WWE, and considering the fact their fight in UFC remains one of the company's most memorable, that would be a must-see bout. Saying that, The Beast vs. Cain Velasquez proved to be a major disappointment, so it's hard to say how a clash like this would play out in the squared circle.
Regardless, Cormier is keen to make that match happen, and would like it to take place at WrestleMania in 2022. "I’m done, I want to wrestle with Brock in the WWE, that’s where I want to fight Brock. I want to fight him on his terms," he told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani in a recent interview.
"You know, two old guys in the UFC Octagon going at it, 43-41-year-old guys seem fun, boy, me and Brock at WrestleMania that would be a good time." As for how that story could play out, he believes it needs to be a slow build in order to increase anticipation. "I don’t know if the build simmers enough for me, I want a year, at least 12 months of a build before I get locked..…[there]."
UFC tried to make a legit fight between these two a reality, but Lesnar chose to stay with WWE and the rematch never happened. Whether there's a demand for that in a WWE ring is hard to say, but it's hard not to be intrigued by what that might look like.
What do you guys think?
