Two titles will be on the line next week on WWE SmackDown, which takes place at The O2 Arena in London, England on Friday, March 28, 2025.

First up will be Braun Strowman challenging LA Knight for the United States Championship, and Pretty Deadly will face The Street Profits for the WWE Tag Team Championship. But let's explore how we got to that point.

When it comes to the United States title match, there was a backstage segment on tonight's SmackDown episode where LA Knight told Braun Strowman that he was hoping The Monster of All Monsters would beat Jacob Fatu "back to factory settings" and that he would watch his back if Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga got involved, as they typically do. Strowman appreciated the backup, but also revealed that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis told him the winner of the match will get a shot at the United States title, and as far as he's concerned, that's the means for him to punch his ticket to WrestleMania 41.

In the match, Sikoa and Tonga got involved, leading to a disqualification where Fatu lost, meaning Strowman was awarded the title opportunity. Knight came out and helped Strowman fight them off, and they had a brief moment in the ring. Backstage later, Fatu was angry with Sikoa for costing him the win, and told him to mind his own business.

When it comes to the tag team titles, Pretty Deadly had won a No. 1 contenders' Triple Threat match on the March 7th episode against The Motor City Machine Guns and Los Garza. As The Street Profits defeated #DIY last week to win the tag titles, that set up Kit Wilson and Elton Prince against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, who defeated Angel and Berto in a non-title tag team match tonight.

Backstage, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa offered to help Pretty Deadly win the tag titles in England next week if they would grant them the first title shot afterward. Pretty Deadly rejected the offer with a "no boy" and then, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley came over to #DIY to gloat that they're now at the back of the line.

To recap, here is your lineup for next week's episode of WWE SmackDown:

  • United States Championship Match: LA Knight (c) vs. Braun Strowman
  • WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Street Profits (c) vs. Pretty Deadly
