During last night's SmackDown, plans for Money in the Bank started becoming clear. The show kicked off with "A Moment of Bliss" as Braun Strowman was interviewed by Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross about Bray Wyatt's recent challenge for the Universal Championship. The Monster Among Men made it clear that he's ready to face The Fiend and trying to forget his past as a member of The Wyatt Family.
A gift was placed in the ring during the segment, and when the Universal Champion opened it, his black sheep mask from his time as a member of Wyatt's faction was inside. He seemed visibly shaken, and The Fiend's laughter could then be heard echoing throughout the building.
Later in the night, Michael Cole confirmed that Strowman will now defend his title against The Fiend at the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV.
Also during the show, we learned that Tamina will challenge Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship after picking up a win over Sasha Banks (thanks to a timely assist from Lacey Evans). It doesn't appear as if this year's Money in the Bank will be taking place at the WWE Performance Center, but we'll have more details on that for you soon...
