Update On Mercedes Moné/Sasha Banks' WWE Status As Triple H Teases Big Return For Monday's RAW "Day 1"

With it all but confirmed that a former WWE Champion will return to WWE during Monday night's RAW, we have an update on where things stand between the company and Mercedes Moné/Sasha Banks. Check it out!

Sasha Banks is thought to have walked out of WWE after clashing with Vince McMahon over creative and cash. Since then, The Boss - now known as Mercedes Moné - has made her mark on the independent wrestling scene and frequently wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

She made headlines after appearing in the AEW All In crowd at Wembley Stadium and, had she not been injured during a match for the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship (Mone broke her ankle), the expectation was that she'd sign with the company and debut at the "Blood and Guts" episode of AEW Dynamite.

Recently, Moné has seemingly been teasing a WWE return on social media, with various nods to Triple H (going so far as to even post a photo of herself with an image of The Game in the background).

Today, several outlets are reporting that talks between her and WWE have broken down and that the company has pulled out of negotiations after being unable to agree on terms. Remember when they said the same thing about CM Punk in the days leading up to his surprise return at Survivor Series: WarGames?

Adding further fuel to the fire is the fact there have been rumblings online about a former WWE Champion appearing during Monday night's "Day 1" edition of RAW

Some believe this could be Dave Bautista - with WWE finally confirming he's going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame - but a returning Sasha Banks arguably seems far more likely at this stage. Surprisingly, Triple H has even taken to X to address the rumours head-on, all but confirming something big is in the works.

"Nobody knows the story because I haven’t said anything, and I’m not going to say anything because that’s just the classy boss that I am, the CEO," Moné previously said of her shock WWE exit.

"I’d been in the WWE for almost ten years. I had to have a change. I had to feel something different in my heart and my soul. I had to go after a whole new dream and a whole new chapter and a whole new destiny for me, and this is what I wanted for me, and this is what I wanted to make happen for me, that’s it. This is what I’m going for. This is my dream."

Do you think The Boss will return to WWE next week?
