Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe battled at the Great Balls of Fire PPV with the Universal Championship on the line but a rematch took place this past Saturday at a WWE Live event and you can see highlights here.
Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe's match at Great Balls of Fire may have been brief but it established the latter as a bona fide star on the main roster and delivered one of Lesnar's better matches for quite some time. On Saturday, the two had a rematch at a WWE Live event in Detroit with the Universal Championship once again on the line.
If you've watched last night's RAW you'll be well aware that Lesnar retained his title but WWE has now released some official highlights from this encounter and it appears to have been quite the slobberknocker! The match took place at a SmackDown Live show but Lesnar has been working more non-televised dates so it doesn't signal a brand change anytime soon!
Brock and Joe will once again share a ring at SummerSlam later this month as part of a Fatal-4-Way match which is also set to include Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. However, if Brock loses, he'll be leaving WWE according to Paul Heyman. That would certainly give him time to make that long rumoured UFC return, anyway...
