We recently found out that Bray Wyatt would get an opportunity to regain the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank when he faces off against a man he knows very well indeed, Braun Strowman.
Wyatt has been attempting to play mind games with The Monster Among Men over the past couple of weeks, taunting him about their shared history. Just in case you're not aware, Strowman actually made his WWE debut as part of the Wyatt Family, and WWE is playing up the fact that Bray "brought him" into the company as his lackey.
The Firefly Fun House host feels that Braun betrayed his trust, and wants to set things right at MITB by taking his title away from him.
Last night's episode of SmackDown aired a brief video looking back at Strowman's early career in WWE as part of Wyatt's creepy faction.
It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out. Strowman only won the championship because Roman Reigns pulled out of his WrestleMania match with Goldberg, so the powers that be may decide to put the belt back on Wyatt.
It'd be a bit of a slap in the face to cut the Monster's run so short, but WWE was highly criticized for taking the title off Bray in the first place, so they may want to do whatever's in their power to keep the fans happy in the current climate.
What do you guys think? Let us know in the usual place.
