More details have been revealed about the circumstances surrounding Bray Wyatt's WWE departure, with Fightful reporting that Vince McMahon took a dislike to the former Universal Champion when he started speaking out against creative plans. It seems the WWE Chairman took his opportunity to release Wyatt and budget cuts were, in fact, not the reason for his being fired.
It also sounds like Wyatt was supposed to defeat Randy Orton at WrestleMania, but that obviously ended up being his final match in WWE.
In another update, it's said that Wyatt grew frustrated with the direction WWE started taking The Fiend in, including when his character was burned alive by The Viper. He was said to be frustrated with the size, weight, and lack of mobility in the costume he had to wear, hence why it was quickly scrapped.
Wyatt is currently free to sign with any company now his WWE non-compete is over. We don't know where he's heading, but the anticipation is that he'll soon speak out about his departure. When that happens, he'll no doubt choose a major podcast to make his story known because fans are desperate to learn more about what the future holds in store for the man now known as Windham Rotunda.
Keep checking back here for updates as we have them.
