Ricochet is one of the most talented wrestlers in WWE today, but there have been troubling signs for a while now that Vince McMahon doesn't have anywhere near as much faith in him as
RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman. The former United States Champion was buried by Brock Lesnar at
Super ShowDown and by Riddick Moss during last night's
RAW.
Now, Dave Meltzer has weighed in on the matter in the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, and it does indeed sound like the WWE Chairman has decided to bury "The One And Only."
"I don’t know what the mentality is. Obviously...Ricochet’s done," he claims. "I mean maybe they will...but, it’s Vince! You know he may change his mind next week, but this week he’s done. He’s so done. You know this was a burial without a doubt.”
"Who knows? He just gets these things in his head like with Cedric Alexander he was supposed to get a big push and Vince just buried the guy and now he’s burying another guy."
Meltzer went on to point out that Ricochet likely has quite a few years left on his contract, so the chances of him being able to consider leaving the company seem slim. Things could turn around for him, of course, but it's no real wonder WWE continues to struggle creating new stars!
