Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon recently announced his intention to return to the company's board of directors ahead of a potential sale, and the company made it official shortly after.
There's been a lot of speculation that the controversial mogul might attempt to resume control of Raw and SmackDown's creative, and Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has been told from a well-placed source that this is exactly what he's done.
Some fans feel WWE programming did deliver stronger angles and storylines under Triple H, but truth be told, if there was any improvement, it was only minor. The biggest indicator that Vinnie Mac was back in charge came this past Monday night on Raw when Omos challenged Brock Lesnar for a match at WrestleMania!
McMahon stepped down in June before "retiring" a month later following multiple claims of sexual misconduct against him and his head of talent relations, John Laurinaitis, so his return has been met with a significant amount of backlash.
Update: Sapp has now Tweeted out the following.
"Sources within WWE that would be in the position to know tell Fightful Select that these fears are unfounded. We couldn’t get any confirmations on those talent’s fears, as noted in the original post. HHH has been open that Vince has input, and is been adamant to talent that HHH has final say."
