WWE 205 Live was thrown into disarray last month when current Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore was released from the company after being accused of rape. The division was already struggling and without the man who many credited for increasing viewership gone, a lot of fans assumed that the show's days might be numbered. Well, that hasn't happened and we may now know why.
Over the past couple of weeks, 205 Live has gained a new General Manager and seen the launch of a sixteen-man championship tournament which will culminate at WrestleMania 34 this April.
The quality of the matches has also increased and it feels a lot more like the Cruiserweight Classic, something which may be down to the fact Triple H is now in charge of the show instead of Vince McMahon. As a result, he has final say on what goes on the air and what the brand looks like. McMahon reportedly felt it should be more character driven but The Game wants to focus on in-ring action.
It's thought that WWE is going to try and build 205 Live up as a brand which delivers quality wrestling, something it's hard to complain about. How do you guys feel about this news? Sound off below.
