Vince McMahon Is Said To Be Unhappy With WWE's Declining Ratings And A Number Of "Stale" Superstars

This week's RAW and SmackDown Live featured some big names from NXT and now a new report claims that Vince McMahon wanted them on the show because of declining ratings and complacent main roster talent.

Those NXT callups on this week's RAW and SmackDown Live generated a lot of discussion both with fans and current main roster Superstars but Dave Meltzer has now shed some light on why Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, and Aleister Black were all made to look so strong against other talent.

"Vince felt that the reason the ratings are down is because the product is stale, the stars are stale and ‘we don’t have any superstars and these guys that we have aren’t gonna be superstars so we need to make new superstars so we gotta get guys that we haven’t ruined,'" he claims.

I'm pretty sure that Vince doesn't feel he's "ruined" anyone and there already plenty of great wrestlers on both the red and blue brands; they're just not being utilised particularly well! Regardless, some fans aren't happy with these callups as it's seemingly changed plans for Ciampa vs. Gargano during WrestleMania weekend.

Do you think these NXT Superstars can "save" WWE? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section below.
