Vince McMahon Reportedly Changed The Main Event Of RAW Shortly Before The Show Went On The Air

The main event of this week's RAW saw The O.C. (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson) taking on the team of Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, and Humberto Carrillo. Ultimately, it was Styles who picked up the win by hitting a Styles Clash from the second rope onto Ricochet.

However, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reveals that Vince McMahon changed the main event at the producer's meeting just a few hours before the show kicked off. "I believe the idea was Orton & Ricochet & Carrillo were to beat Styles & Gallows & Anderson," he explains, adding that Mysterio was going to help the faces win by driving off Drew McIntyre.

McMahon wanted to change it so that Orton wasn't interested in teaming up with the babyfaces, hence why he didn't appear until the end of the match when he hit an RKO Outta Nowhere on Styles. He also wanted Styles to pick up the win while protecting Mysterio.

What did you guys think about RAW's main event?
