It wasn't that long ago we heard that Vince McMahon had decided to take a hands off approach to RAW and SmackDown Live moving forward. Alas, it appears as if that didn't last particularly long because Dave Meltzer claimed last night that "Vince was tearing up [the] show" and "Good or bad, this is a heavy Vince show."

This has been the case with the blue brand on multiple occasions now and while Paul Heyman is in control of RAW, we know Eric Bischoff isn't really taking creative charge of the blue brand.

While this information came out before SmackDown Live went on the air, it wasn't a bad episode. There were some dud matches and it was strange that Randy Orton is basically repeating what Samoa Joe did with AJ Styles' family last year but it was a solid enough effort even though the Roman Reigns/Daniel Bryan storyline continues to baffle fans.

What did you guys think of SmackDown Live?
